Besides winning the Government scholarship for singing (Carnatic) and the Sterling Holiday Resorts scholarship for Carnatic vocal music, she has received certificates of merit from Mylapore Fine Arts Club. Representing her school in a state level competition held at Jawahar Bal Bhavan in the academic year 1995-96, she stood first in Carnatic music.
