Gifted with a pliable voice

Bhavadhaarini is gifted with a pliable voice. She has a flair for giving free rein to her pliable voice, as it was evident from the Saveri raga varnam that she sang in three speeds and kalpanaswaram. In the Tyagaraja kriti (Harikhambodi) Bhavadhaarini's tuneful accent on `Rama' and `Brovara,' were more noteworthy.

Impressive Voice modulations

Impressive Voice modulations and Shruthi Shuddham is the speciality of Bhavadhaarini. Her rendition of Thodi Alaapana expressed how difficult sangathis could be sung in ease. The Kaalapramaanam and perfection in diction must be specially mentioned.

Quality of Music, Neat presentation and Excellent Layam

Quality of Music, Neat presentation and Excellent Layam excelled in Bhavadhaarini's Music. Her raga essays of Naasikabhushani and Shubapanthuvarali were full of emotive contents and were presented with apt vocal depth. The Thillana in Sindhubairavi with a prelude of Viruttham of Thiruppavai captivated the listeners.

Full of Grace

Bhavadhaarini Anantaraman's concert was characterized by talent and verve. Her particular strength is her fine voice, accompanied by becoming exuberance. DKP's training was evident in her alaapanas, swara passages and manodharmic music.

One feels that a ragam-thanam-pallavi after an elaborate main piece tends to be rather heavy. All the same Bhavadhaarini managed to keep the audience focussed.

Bhavadhaarini enthralls

The vocal recital of A. Bhavadhaarini held on 8th January under the auspices of Thirumanacheri V. Ranganathan at Aruna Mahal was marked with maturity and enthralled the rasikas. The elaboration of Ragas was palatable with apt emphasis on their subtleties.

Bhavadhaarini going places in Carnatic music

Bhavadhaarini Anantaraman seems to have music flowing in her veins. Besides winning the Government scholarship for singing (Carnatic) and the Sterling Holiday Resorts scholarship for Carnatic vocal music, she has received certificates of merit from Mylapore Fine Arts Club. Representing her school in a state level competition held at Jawahar Bal Bhavan in the academic year 1995-96, she stood first in Carnatic music.
